As Dow participate in customs security programs, Dows entities that are operating in Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) have been awarded the Authorised Economic Operator certification from Dubai Customs  


“The UAE AEO program will provide Dow with a strong competitive advantage to better serve its customers in the region through a secure, expedited and streamlined supply chain process,” said Moosa Al-Moosa, president of Dow in the UAE & Finance director India, Middle East, Africa and Turkey. “We have a history spanning three decades of doing business in the UAE and the government has consistently supported us by extending an environment which is conducive to commercial activities.”

The certification process is aimed at demonstrating the quality and reliability of company processes, procedures, systems, competencies and security measures involved in international trade. The AEO certification also provides companies with a host of commercial benefits including faster customer clearance, prioritization in inspections, reduced post-clearance audits and a dedicated Customers Key Account Manager.

Ihab Elia, Logistics & ITO director - India, Middle East and Africa at Dow added, “as the world becomes a smaller place driven by globalization, the importance of efficient trade processes has increased tremendously, with industries looking for the quickest and smartest means to do business securely. The AEO certification acknowledges this need and facilitates trade between our key entities in a timely manner, thus allowing us to address our customer needs competently.”
