Honeywell has opened a new customer experience centre in Mina Abdullah in southern Kuwait, to provide local customers, trainees and students a deeper understanding of Honeywell Connected Plant technology for oil and gas facilities

“This innovative facility, the first of its kind in Kuwait, is designed to develop the knowledge of industry workers on critical oil and gas technologies, trends and solutions, while supporting key national initiatives such as Kuwaiti Vision 2035 and the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation’s 2030 Strategy,” said George Bou Mitri, president of Honeywell Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon.

The new customer experience centre showcases the latest connected technologies for the oil and gas market, including Honeywell Connected Plant technologies, process control solutions such as the Experion® Orion console, as well as fire, gas detection and cybersecurity solutions.

Together with the Honeywell Automation College in the same location, the facility aims to provide a wide range of training on automation technologies for upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas environments and uses real case studies to facilitate learning.

Bou Mitri further added that the new facility will support the customers in the region and play a crucial role in expanding and growing the oil and gas sector in Kuwait.
