Halliburton launches DecisionSpace software to digitalise oil and gas operation

Technology

Landmark, a business line of international oilfield services company Halliburton, has launched DecisionSpace® Production Engineering and DecisionSpace® Production Insights software to make a better usage of data to reduce costs and increase production for oil and gas operators

The DecisionSpace® software aims to accumulate reservoir information, which is expected to solve some of the crucial production challenges in oil and gas immediately, in a cost-effective way.

According to Halliburton, the solution aims to help operators in maximising production, increasing recovery and improving efficiency through advanced production surveillance, forecasting and flow modelling for more complete asset understanding.

The software includes differentiated forecasting and modelling techniques for unconventional oil and gas assets, thus allowing managers, petroleum engineers and geoscientists to identify problem quickly, which, in turn, delivers better production outcomes.

DecisionSpace Production Insights combines visualisations with data analytics to provide instant asset awareness that informs and equips teams for better decision-making.

This enables comprehensive access to the reservoir, well and financial information, as well as other enterprise data sources.

Commenting on the usage of this platform in improving oil and gas production, Nagaraj Srinivasan, senior vice-president of Landmark and Halliburton Digital Solutions, said, “Achieving this requires a transformative combination of engineering and economic understanding of production and the reservoir. DecisionSpace Production delivers a complete, open, modern and highly scalable solution to help operators achieve this goal.”
