voestalpine Group expands tubulars portfolio

voestalpine Group is expanding its portfolio in the section tubes segment, as the product range of welded hollow sections from voestalpine Krems (Austria) will now be supplemented by seamless hollow sections from voestalpine Tubulars at the Kindberg (Austria) site

The company purchased the related equipment, including all rights, from Vallourec Germany. voestalpine Tubulars has many years of experience in the production of seamless round tubes, and will thus be able to produce square and rectangular hollow sections up to large formats and wall thicknesses seamlessly hot-rolled in the future.
