I look forward to working alongside him and appreciate his ongoing commitment to elevate operational excellence in the organisation," said Dinesh Arumugam, CEO.

"I started with Thunder Cranes as an offshore crane rigger 23 years ago, and with each position I've held across the organisation, my appreciation for Thunder Cranes has only grown. In every offshore project the lifting component is critical, and the efficiency with which we deliver our service is essential in enabling a cost-effective and successful outcome for the client. I know there is an experienced team hard at work making this happen – our entire operations team deserve a lot of credit, as does the back office. Operations are at the heart of how we serve our clients, and I am looking forward to spending even more time with our team members as we build for the future," said Withers.

Withers graduated with an economics degree from the University of Georgia and joined Thunder Cranes in 2001. As a business development manager, he has played a pivotal role in the company's growth and was responsible for setting up Thunder Cranes’ very first operations in Thailand and Dubai in 2007 and 2009 respectively.  As the general manager of Thunder Cranes Malaysia from 2014 to 2018, he spearheaded the implementation of ISO-9001 and helped setup the Malaysian operations team that continues to win praise from its clients today.  As the head of Sales & Special Projects since 2018, David initiated the transition to a new generation of zone-2 rated powerpacks, offshore cranes and lifting devices – such as the TC-90XL and the TC-MLS, as well as the expansion of operations in Africa and the Middle East.
