TD Williamson (TDW), a provider of equipment and services for operators of pressurised piping systems, has opened a new maintenance centre in UAE capital Abu Dhabi
The addition of the new 67 square metre facility represents the first phase of TDW's plans to expand in the Middle East region.
The facility, located in Musaffah, complements the existing 67 square metre hot tap and STOPPLE plugging service centre by adding a stand-alone maintenance capability aimed at the in-line inspection (ILI) regional market, TWD said.
Danny Haykal, director for Middle East & Africa at TDW, said, “The expansion is in keeping with plans to strengthen our inspection business in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, and to provide turnkey facilities and back-up for preparation, maintenance and mobilisation of ILI equipment.
“In addition to serving as our Middle East hub for ILI, the centre also extends our hot tap and plugging equipment maintenance capacity, with sizes up to 91cm for hot tapping and 61cm for STOPPLE plugging operations.”
Nick Dring, operations manager for the UAE at TDW, added, “The maintenance centre is accessible and well-situated for prompt mobilisation of personnel and equipment.”
