State-owned Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Heriot-Watt University Dubai to collaborate on oil & gas research
Heriot-Watt students will get graduate and PhD internship opportunities among other areas of collaboration under the deal.
“Sharjah National Oil Corporation is proud to partner with the Heriot-Watt University, Scotland for oil and gas exploration and production research,” said Hatem Al Mosa, CEO of SNOC.
The deal with Heriot-Watt will support the development of talent and research in SNOC’s efforts to boost its expertise in geoscience, petroleum engineering and R&D.
“SNOC which currently operates mature gas fields and production facilities is focused on maintaining the base production along with actively pursuing opportunities to grow the Oil and Gas potential in Sharjah,“ said Masoud Al Hamadi, E&P manager.
SNOC was established in 2010 by the Sharjah government to operate the Sajaa Asset concession.
