Oil Review Middle East is holding a free webinar on "Pipeline corrosion prevention: eliminating the weak link" on Tuesday 1 March
In 2017, a paper titled “In Defense of the Monolithic Isolation Joint” was presented at a NACE corrosion symposium. The paper was in response to an earlier NACE symposium paper that characterised the monolithic isolation joint as a weak link in pipeline integrity. Experts at GPT Industries examined the potential failure points identified in this earlier work and offered strategies to ensure that monolithic isolation joints serve their purpose of eliminating the well-documented cathodic protection challenges historically presented by flanged connections.
Join Oil Review Middle East’s free webinar on “Pipeline Corrosion Prevention: Eliminating the Weak Link” on Tuesday 1 March 2022 at 2pm (UAE) as GPT’s Alex Grimmer, product manager and Rony Roy, senior applications engineer will look back at this influential paper and explore how, over the past five years GPT has improved the design of monolithic isolation joints, as well as the manufacturing and testing processes to ensure joint integrity and performance.

Attendees will access information on how monolithic isolation joints prevent pipeline corrosion to optimise pipeline integrity and explore the possible weak points in the manufacturing of monolithic isolation joints. The presentation will also highlight latest best practice in selecting MIJs to maximise pipeline efficiencies as well as analyse the future state of monolithic joint technology and how it will help stabilise pipeline joint integrity.
If you are responsible for pipeline integrity assurance and are looking to optimise joint integrity and performance, participate in the live discussion. Claim your free place here: https://alaincharlestraining.com/webinar/gpt-2022
