The approval aligns with the strengthening of Fine Tubes’ presence in Qatar and the Middle East after more than 10 years of successful operations in the region. It follows on from Fine Tubes receiving several other prestigious oil and gas approvals from major businesses across the Middle East.

MONEL alloy 400 tubes from Fine Tubes deliver advanced resistance to corrosion in subsea instrumentation systems which receive constant exposure to seawater. The already corrosive nature of the salt water is exacerbated in the Middle East region due to the high temperatures of the water and air, making Fine Tubes’ products particularly suitable.

Nick Head, product manager at Fine Tubes, said, “We are proud to have achieved an impressive number of approvals from key organisations in Qatar and the Middle East. Gaining official supplier approval from Qatargas not only expands our footprint in this growing region but also supports our continued growth in the oil and gas market. We look forward to working with Qatargas and the wider oil and gas industry in Qatar for a long time to come.”

Fine Tubes works closely with major oil and gas companies worldwide to custom-engineer tubes with higher corrosion resistance that deliver extended product life, as well as reducing downtime and maintenance costs. Critical applications include control lines in subsea umbilicals, control and instrumentation, and pressure housings.
