BORSIG Membrane Technology receives order for membrane unit related to hydrogen separation and purification

Industry

BORSIG Membrane Technology GmbH has received an order from Finland for a membrane unit in an industrial TCD pilot plant  the goal: clean hydrogen

BORSIG has received an order to supply a membrane unit for the separation and purification of hydrogen from the process gas of a thermo-catalytic decomposition of methane (TCD).

A Finnish company has developed its own methane pyrolysis technology. In this process, methane is decomposed into its elementary components – hydrogen and carbon – by thermo-catalytic decomposition (TCD). Methane from natural gas, biogas, synthetic fuels or industrial side streams can be used for methane pyrolysis.

The plan for this TCD pilot plant is to produce hydrogen on an industrial scale with approx. 2,000 t of hydrogen/year.

BORSIG Mebrane Technology offers innovative solutions in the field of process and membrane technology for a wide range of industrial applications, helping clients to conserve resources and reduce emissions.
