Bentec GmbH has announced an alliance agreement with Arabian Drilling Company (ADC), whereby it will become ADC’s preferred supplier of Top Drives and Iron Roughnecks
The deal is the first announced through KCA Deutag’s new business unit Kenera, which brings together Bentec’s manufacturing expertise with the technology and engineering skills of RDS and the wider Group.
The agreement is the result of extended collaborative efforts between the parties in order to develop a joint strategy to enhance rig fleet performance and deliver more added value services to ADC. These services will go beyond product manufacturing and delivery.
The award by ADC reflects Bentec´s commitment to deliver enhanced technologies through its equipment solutions underpinned by superior product quality, reliability, and the business’s ability to establish a local presence to provide ongoing services.
Ali Hamid Alghamdi, managing director of Arabian Drilling Company, said, “The strategic partnership between ADC and Bentec demonstrates the industry alignment in pursuit of ultimate ownership of drilling equipment aiming to maximise drilling performance, reliability and safety while increasing the Kingdom Local Value content. The size of this cooperation will encourage renowned international manufacturers and suppliers like Bentec to establish local facilities in Saudi Arabia and become integrated with the growing manufacturing ecosystem for the purpose of local value creation that broadens the base of goods and services provided beyond the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. ADC will continuously support the drilling industry in Saudi Arabia with efficient and cost-effective operations that are aligned with the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision.”
Thorsten Dirks, managing director of Bentec, said, “The cooperation between Bentec and ADC marks the increasing demand for greater drilling performance, higher reliability and the focus on lower total cost of ownership utilising the latest technologies. All of these factors are aligned with the Bentec operating philosophy and are delivered to the highest degree.
