Alderley plc has announced the appointment of Dermot Clarke as managing director for its Middle East business
Clarke joins Alderley with more than two decades of experience in the global energy sector and a first-rate track record of growing successful teams. In his new role, his responsibilities will include growing the footprint of the Alderley Group of companies in the region with a strong focus on key markets in Qatar, the UAE and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he will be based (Dammam).
Clarke will also oversee Alderley’s offer based on best-in-class energy solutions to the wider region including Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, and Oman. He will oversee an Alderley team of around 150 with operations and facilities in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
Clarke joins Alderley from Marubeni Middle East & Africa Power where he served as vice president for more than five years. Previously, he was regional sales director for the Middle East Gas Business of Alstom Power.
