The UAE oil and gas company handed the Abu Dhabi-based NPCC a US$762mn contract for the Umm al-Lulu Field, a company statement said. A construction contract is among the many packages that form part of Adma-Opco’s plan to boost its total daily production by around 300,000 bpd to one million bpd.
The detailed design and engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation contract is due to be completed by November 2015.
The scope of work includes a 124km 20-inch subsea pipeline; 86.7km of subsea pipeline in various sizes; 89km of subsea composite and fibre optic cables; and six new wellhead towers with a raiser platform jacket weighing 17,000 tonnes.
Another larger contract was awarded for the Lulu EPC-2 engineering, procurement and construction package, which will mainly covers central processing facilities involving six platforms.
Adma-Opco is also currently carrying out the full-field Lulu development along with the Satah al-Razboot Field for an eventual combined capacity of 200,000 bpd as part of Abu Dhabi’s ongoing multi-billion dollar investment drive to increase its overall production capacity.
