Mina Al Fahal Distribution and Storage Terminal recently hit 23 years since the last Lost Time Injury (LTI)
The facility, located just outside the Omani capital Muscat, is operated and fully managed by Oman Oil Marketing Company (omanoil) as a joint venture with Al Maha Petroleum.
According to the operator, the record was achieved by constantly assessing risks, analyzing standards and fostering a culture of safety and preservation of life.
“It is a great challenge to operate such a busy terminal 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with its ever increasing movement of people and vehicles,” said Omanoil CEO, Omar bin Ahmed Qatan. “I am extremely proud of the 83 men and women who work tirelessly at the terminal and ensure the highest of HSSE standards are followed and enhanced all the time.”
Mina Al Fahal, which has an approximate average daily output of 6mn litres and a storage capacity of 55mn litres, has received a number of international safety certifications over the years in recognition of HSE standards at the facility.
