The Iranian Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) has announced that the country will triple its gas condensate exports to 1.2mn bpd in less than two years
Seyyed Pirouz Mousavi, managing director of IOTC, said, “In less than two years, Iran will increase its export of gas condensate from the current level of 450,000 bpd to 1.2mn bpd.”
Iran currently exports condensate from the southern port of Asalouyeh and the country is now planning to boost exports by building new facilities near Kangan in the southern Bushehr Province.
Iran’s South Pars gas field, divided into 24 phases, is believed to hold about 14 trillion cubic metres of gas and more than 18bn barrels of liquefied natural gas (LNG) resources.
