Exploration & Production

Subsea 7 has been awarded a substantial offshore Egypt contract by Pharaonic Petroleum Company, which will be executed at depths of more than 900 metres in the new Atoll field, off the coast of Damietta

The scope of the contract includes the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of more than 40km of rigid pipelines and associated structures for the Atoll field. These will tie into the existing Taurt field at a depth of 100 metres. There will also be a 105km umbilical installed linking the Atoll field to the shore.

Offshore campaigns will take place from Q3 of 2017 and early 2018 using the Subsea 7 vessels Seven Borealis, Seven Eagle and Seven Arctic.

"We are delighted to strengthen our presence in Egypt," said Gilles Lafaye, Subsea 7's regional vice president for Africa. "This substantial contract award recognises our technical expertise and track record of strong execution for Pharaonic Petroleum Company."
