Hess has announced that it is in search of partners to explore two blocks in Kurdistan Region of Iraq and a block offshore Ghana
The US-based oil and gas firm plans to spend US$550mn in 2013 for oil and gas exploration work, including shoot seismic and drill exploration wells there, company sources said.
The company also has a production sharing agreement (PSA) for the Dinarta and Shakrok Blocks in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
In Ghana, Hess owns a 90 per cent stake in the Deepwater Tano/Cape Three Points Block. Ghana National Petroleum Corporation owns the remaining stake.
