DUGAS awards Tebodin with contracts

Exploration & Production

The Dubai Natural Gas Company Limited (DUGAS) has contracted Tebodin for the detailed design of the expansion of its methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) plant in Jebel Ali

The consulting and engineering firm has also received a contract for the preparation of the front end engineering design (FEED) and engineering procurement construction (EPC) tender package for the additional butane storage facility.

Tebodin was also contracted to prepare the environmental impact assessment report for the storage facility.

This multidisciplinary project is expected to involve around 42,000 man hours.

DUGAS is expanding its MTBE plant to increase production capacity from 509 to 687 trillion litres per year.

The construction of additional butane/propane storage tanks and an associated dedicated refrigeration system using vapour recovery compression for re-liquefaction have also been scheduled.
