The Kazakhstan International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference (KIOGE), the country’s largest industry trade fair, will return on October 2-5, 2012

In a recent statement, Kazakhstan minister of oil and gas Sauat Mynbaev announced, “Since its launch in 1993, KIOGE has been one of the main events in the country’s oil and gas sector. It is an important platform for discussing pressing sector issues and establishing dialogue between domestic and international partners from the public and private sectors.”
The conference, set to take place on October 4-5, will bring together both regional and international policy-makers, government officials, and leaders of major commercial companies in a discussion regarding the latest developments in Kazakhstan’s oil and gas sector.
Last year saw the conference saw the participation of 793 delegates and 44 speakers.
With significant natural gas reserves, and the second largest oil reserves of the former Soviet states, Kazakhstan is anticipated to become one of the top international oil exporters in the next decade.
Mynbaev concluded, “Kazakhstan is a country with a rapidly growing economy.
“The oil and gas industry is a key area of this economy, and a modern legislative base in line with international standards has created excellent conditions for attracting investment to Kazakhstan.”
