Trendsetter Engineering introduces offshore intervention system

Technology

Trendsetter Engineering has announced the debut of the Trident Intervention System

The Trident intervention systems have been designed for rapid field reconfiguration, providing the flexibility to perform intervention riser, riserless wireline intervention and hydraulic stimulation operations all with one system

This modular intervention approach will result in lower costs for well maintaining, improved production and increased operational efficiency of intervention.

Initially delivered in the Intervention Riser System (IRS) configuration, the Trident system provides a 6‐3/8” through bore and is suitable for all types of well intervention operations up to 15,000 psi and up to 10,000 ft in water depths.

Trident’s robust Well Control Package (WCP) is built around the unique and reliable shear/seal design of the Interventek Revolution valves, providing an extremely compact package with a robust safety system.

With an overall WCP stack-up height below 16’ and a combined Emergency Disconnect Package/Lower Riser Package weight of just over 67,000 lbs, Trident is suited for rapid mobilisation to any region and integration into nearly any availability rig, including many older MODUs that may be limited in both crane capacity and tree cart stack-up height.

Trendsetter Engineering is a privately-owned oil and gas service company based in Houston, Texas, which provides specialised subsea hardware and offshore service solutions globally from exploration drilling through abandonment.
