Tracerco has announced that it is expanding its reservoir tracing services in the Middle East with a bigger facility in Oman and a new laboratory in the UAE
These two projects are expected to add to Tracerco’s worldwide network of laboratories, which allows them to provide rapid, local analysis and quick turnaround of results for their reservoir customer base.
Situated in Muscat's industrial area Al Jufneen, the reservoir tracing facility consists of laboratories, offices, warehousing and stores. The move came as a result of increased customer demand for Tracerco’s oilfield characterisation tracer technology and will cater to reservoir business within the sultanate, the oil and gas services company said.
Paul Hewitt, director of reservoir tracing services, Tracerco said, “With continued development from our R&D team of over 10 PhDs and 40 chemistry professionals, Tracerco’s tracers designed to determine fluid flow in oil and gas reservoirs are recognised by oil companies worldwide.”
Tracerco’s technologies can be deployed without interruption to production and allow operators to gain better understanding of reservoir fluid and gas movements throughout their reservoir assets.
