Luxembourg-based global manufacturer and supplier of steel pipes and related services Tenaris has introduced an insulating coating solution TenCoat Marine Deep
The solution was launched at AMI’s 12th edition of Pipeline Coating conference in Vienna, Austria (from 11-13 February).
The event focused on polymeric coatings and their protection for steel pipelines for the energy industries, including oil and gas, water and other energy sources.
Tenaris’s coating solution TenCoat Marine Deep is a polypropylene blend engineered for flow assurance in deepwater environments.
“The oil and gas industry has moved towards solutions with a short return on investments. The development models have changed to tieback solutions versus large SURF developments,” said Gregoire Flipò, Tenaris’ vice-president of offshore line pipe services.
The TenCoat Marine Deep aims to provide a cost-effective solution with a thermal performance for HP/HT, deep and ultra-deepwater environments.
The product is a system comprised of single-component layers, leading to a reliable and repeatable industrial application process.
