Oilfield services company TAM International, Inc. has introduced V0-rated cementing Port Collar to complement its extensive cement integrity product line
The Port Collar is part of TAM’s suite of cement integrity product offerings under the EPIC Solutions (Essential Products for Integrity and Containment) umbrella, which includes the inflatable casing annulus packer (CAP), FREECAP swellable packer portfolio, and HATCH Packer (integrating TAM’s premium MTM sealing Port Collar and CAP).
According to the compaany, the V0-rated cementing Port Collar sets a new standard for the industry with proven reliability and industry-leading qualification. The metal-to-metal (MTM) design Port Collar meets the industry’s latest and most rigorous standard — ISO 14998 V0, Annex A and Annex D — which is gas-tight at 150°C.
Offering life-of-well reliability, the MTM cementing Port Collar simplifies rig operations because no drill out is required after cementing and its customisable features address most critical well conditions, including high torque, drilldown, and deepwater applications.
Tim Davis, TAM International, Inc.’s technology director, said, “The non-elastomeric sealing system provides a robust, gas-tight, and chemical-resistant alternative, with enhanced environmental reliability.”
TAM’s Casing Annulus Packer can be integrated with the new Port Collar to provide the industry’s first open hole packer combined with a V0 Port Collar.
“The design ensures cement is placed where it needs to be in the event of losses in the annular space,” added Davis.
