Seabed Geosolutions to survey seabed for ADNOC

Technology

Seabed Geosolutions, joint venture between the Netherlands-based Fugro and France’s CGG, has signed a variation deal with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to conduct a shallow water seabed survey offshore Abu Dhabi

The survey, worth US$125mn, is over the Ghasha-Butini field and will take around 12 months for completion.

According to the JV, the recent successful completion of the Hail-Shuweihat survey led to the signing of the variation order, which confirmed ADNOC’s confidence in Seabed Geosolutions’ ability to operate safely and efficiently.

Seabed Geosolutions’ seabed seismic services enables its clients to collect seismic data for mature exploration, field development and enhanced production in areas with potential for low cost oil and gas production.

The company collects geophysical data on the seabed through an array of imaging technologies for oil and gas companies, with a focus on the development and production phases of oil and gas fields.
