Dril-Quip and controls technology company Proserv Group have announced an agreement pursuant to which Dril-Quip will rely on Proserv as supplier for the development and manufacture of its subsea control systems
The arrangement follows a strategic decision by Dril-Quip, a manufacturer of drilling and production equipment for use onshore and offshore, to consolidate the supply and development of control systems with a dedicated subsea controls provider.
The agreement also establishes a framework within which Proserv and Dril-Quip can pursue joint marketing and collaborative efforts, with Dril-Quip providing subsea trees and Proserv providing subsea controls.
