Abu Dhabi’s National Drilling Company (NDC) has awarded Lamprell a contract for the construction and delivery of a high specification jackup drilling rig
Lamprell will supply the LeTourneau-designed, Super 18E (Enhanced) Class mobile offshore drilling unit, which will be constructed at the Lamprell facility at Hamriyah, UAE. The unit is likely to be delivered in Q2 2017, and is the ninth one to be delivered by the company to NDC.

Further on, NDC has the option to build up to an additional two jackup rigs of the same design, which have been extended to Q3 2015.
