WorleyParsons has announced that Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has awarded it with a five-year US$400mn contract for the supply of programme management services for oilfields across the country
According to the contract, WorleyParsons Kuwait will support KOC to achieve its objectives of reaching optimum capacity in its oilfields and enhancing its facilities.
The contract also provides project management, co-ordination, planning, design, engineering, construction management, contracting, procurement, project controls and other services for construction of new facilities, up-grading of existing facilities and transfer of technology.
Esam Al- Houti, KOC’s deputy CEO, major projects and technical services, said, “This contract is important to support KOC’s comprehensive ongoing programme of major projects and is considered critical to the day-to-day business and future development of the company’s facilities.”
Andrew Wood, CEO of WorleyParsons, added that WorleyParsons was delighted with the award and was confident that the long-term partnership with KOC would continue to form the basis for the successful achievement of KOC’s objectives.
