UAE’s Aqualis Offshore wins three new rig contracts

Dubai-based Aqualis Offshore has been awarded three new rig contracts, which is expected to strengthen the company’s presence in Middle East

The company said that the first contract was given by India’s Oil and Natural Gas Company (ONGC) to provide the Indian firm with rig moving and marine warranty services offshore India. The initial contract is for nine months with options to renew it for further one-year period.

The second contract is from an unnamed client for providing detailed engineering for the conversion of two jack-up rigs into mobile offshore production units (MOPU). The MOPU conversion project will be managed by Aqualis Offshore’s Dubai and Houston branches, the company added.

The third contract is an annual call-out contract between Aqualis Offshore and France-based Total for project at the Abu Al Bukhoosh field in Abu Dhabi. The work includes marine inspections, rig moving and general marine services.

The company, however, did not disclose the values of the contracts awarded.
