OKI Europe launches new A3 colour printer

Manufacturers of in-house printers, OKI Europe Ltd., has launched a new range of A3 smart multifunction printers (MFPs) with intelligent, user-friendly features and enhanced functionality

According to company sources, these MFPs provide additional levels of business productivity through sXP 1 (smart extendable platform) for enhanced workflow integration and document management across the business. Backed by OKI Europe’s three-year extended warranty, the MC853 and MC873 smart MFPs offer OKI’s pioneering digital LED print technology with the added functionality and performance of more costly and complex copier-based devices.

The devices are well-suited to small-to-medium-sized businesses, as well as departments within larger organisations. “Easy-to-use with fast print speeds, the new MC800 Series is an all-in-one solution to a wide variety of business needs,” said Tetsuya Kuri, vice-president for product marketing EMEA at OKI Europe Ltd.

The new ergonomic design includes a customizable touchscreen panel with a lift-up mechanism, which moves with the device, making it easy for users to follow the menu screen. Businesses can programme their own popular print and copy jobs as individual function commands. The user-friendly MFPs also feature a comprehensive guided help function, two output bins, and convenience stapling as standard.

With print speeds of up to 35 pages per minute (ppm) and scan speeds of 50 impressions per minute (ipm), together with OKI’s A3 LED scanner, the MFP claims to deliver fast and efficient performance. All models are Google Cloud Print-ready and AirPrint2-ready. Additionally document-intensive office tasks are made more agile with ABBYY FineReader Sprint OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software, a downloadable PC/Mac desktop application that is available free of charge to OKI smart MFP customers. This software enables users to quickly and easily convert paper documents, as well as PDF files and images, into editable and searchable text in 190 different languages.
