Weir Oil & Gas has been awarded a four-year contract with Oman Oil Company Exploration & Production (OOCEP) to provide wellhead equipment and services

The contract, which will be carried out by Weir Oil & Gas Oman, reflects a commitment to Oman’s in-country value strategy and includes training for Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) technicians to provide in-country repairs to mechanical rotating equipment in indoor workshops located in Marmul, Saih Rawl and Fahud.

Ronan Le Gloahec, eastern hemisphere president, Weir Oil & Gas, said, “Weir continues to develop a strong presence in the Middle East as an oil and gas industry solutions and services provider.”

“We are thrilled OOCEP awarded this contract to us and look forward to providing them with pressure control engineering and local supply expertise over the next four years and beyond. With this contract we are expanding our presence in Oman, where we have been operating since 2013,” he added.
