Sparrows Group signs partnership agreement with J.D. Neuhaus Group in Middle East

Industry

The Sparrows Group has signed a long-term partnership agreement to become the only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) service provider for market-leading machine construction company, J.D. Neuhaus Group (JDN) in the Middle East

The German family-owned manufacturer has approved Sparrows as the service provider for its hoist equipment, including new hoists, service projects and spare parts. Established 275 years ago, JDN is the largest air hoists provider for the offshore oil and gas industry. With 80 per cent of its hydraulic and pneumatic hoists and crane systems exported to 90 countries worldwide, its products are currently used in 70 different sectors.

Sparrows expertise in lifting equipment and local Middle East presence will expand JDN’s presence into the region. In addition to servicing the offshore oil and gas sector in the region, the two companies will target their onshore industries, including the automotive, pharmaceutical, food and mining industries.

Sparrows will handle all JDN product inquiries in the Middle East with equipment repair and servicing performed from its workshop facilities in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Qatar. By the end of October, eighteen of the company’s technicians in the region will receive full training on JDN hoist gear.

Stewart Mitchell, CEO of Sparrows, said, “Until now, many companies have been unable to source JDN’s OEM parts in-country. Our partnership provides customers with easy access to the equipment they need and the full assurance that they are working with an approved supplier to help extend the lifecycle of their hoists.

“The collaboration is fully aligned with our diversification plans and has opened up significant new opportunities in the Middle East’s oil and gas industry as well as the key onshore industrial markets. We look forward to working closely with JDN as we develop this partnership further.”

Wilfried Neuhaus-Galladé, managing director of J.D. Neuhaus Group, said, “This partnership is an important milestone for bringing our solutions closer to our customers in the region.”
