M.S. Al-Suwaidi Industrial Services Co. Ltd. (SIS), based in Jubail, was awarded a safety certificate by Kemya for achieving 2.5mn man hours without incurring any Lost Time Injuries (LTI) in September 2011.
Al-Jubail Petrochemical Company (KEMYA) is a joint venture between the state owned SABIC and ExxonMobil, an American multinational Oil and Gas Corporation.
This award was presented by the Senior Safety Superintendent, Mr. Ahmed Y. Al-Thawady of Kemya.
SIS HSE Manager, Girish Kunnath, stated that this award was the result of almost 10 years of dedication and commitment from the SIS manpower support team in Kemya.
SIS continuous safety focus has already been recognised earlier this year with the award of the Gold award presented to Mr. David Greer, CEO of SIS, by Mr. Mohamed Al-Mady, Vice Chairman and CEO of SABIC, for its recognition as the safest shutdown and turnaround contractor in 2010 as well as other safety awards delivered by Ibn Zahr, SAFCO and SADAF.
