PH Petro completes single-well test for Daleel Petroleum

Industry

PH Petro has completed the single-well test project for Omans Daleel Petroleum Company and has delivered an impressive 134 per cent incremental oil gain.

From concept to completion

The project marks the debut of SUR+ (Surfactant Plus) in the Middle East and PH Petro's first foray into the region. SUR+ has been field tested in more than 18 fields and 50 wells in various producing formation. PH Petro undertakes EOR projects in South East Asia from concept to completion.

Exceeding baseline forecast

The recently completed project gauges the effectiveness of PH Petro's surfactant technology in improving oil recovery at a Daleel producer well. PH Petro's SUR+ technology delivered 5,785 barrels of cumulative oil exceeding baseline forecast by 3,171 barrels of oil.

Evaluation efforts underway

Due to the favorable result, evaluation efforts are now underway to extend the EOR pilot flooding to cover several injectors and a few more IOR (improved oil recovery) at producer wells. The field implementation is forecasted to deliver incremental gain of between 100 to 300 per cent.

Technology to increase oil recovery

"Our test for Daleel has proven that our technology can increase oil recovery at a reasonable cost and in a very practical manner. This is a strong start to our Middle Eastern operations and we look forward to becoming the EOR provider of choice to some of the region's top projects."

"We would like take this opportunity to thank Daleel for its full confidence and support and anticipate a very productive partnership ahead," said Fairuzz Nasron, President and Group CEO, PH Petro.
