Petrasco, a provider of energy logistics solutions, has announced that it has signed a six-figure contract extension with Aberdeenshire-based Flowline Specialists in Dubai
Petrasco will provide warehousing, yard support and freight forwarding services to the equipment manufacturer and service provider Flowline Specialists at its United Arab Emirates (UAE) operation, which was established in 2015.
The two firms have been working together since 2010, and in the last three years, Petrasco has offered transport, mobilisation and customs assistance to Flowline Specialists in the Middle East.
Kevin Buchan, managing director at Petrasco, said, “This contract highlights the full range of logistics capabilities possessed by the Petrasco team.”
“It’s been an exciting period for the business as we prepare for the upturn amid growing confidence in the global oil and gas industry, including in the Middle East which remains a key market for us with huge potential,” he added.
Flowline Specialists designs, engineers and manufactures a range of cable and pipe handling and deployment equipment for use in the global oil, gas and renewable energy industries.
Graeme Chalmers, group operations manager at Flowline Specialists DMCC, commented, “We have an extensive range of cable and pipe handling and deployment equipment based in the UAE at Petrasco’s secure Dubai storage facility, allowing us to efficiently service the needs of our clients in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.”

All of which has aided us in entering the Australian, Indian and Bangladeshi markets in the last 12 months,” he concluded.
