Iraq has postponed its fourth energy bidding round to March 7th-8th next year when it will award contracts for gas and oil exploration in 12 new blocs, an Oil Ministry official said.

Gulf Technical & Safety Training Centre (GTSC), one of the largest Technical & Safety Training centres in the Middle East, has opened a new facility in Erbil, North Iraq, in order to provide courses for oil and gas professionals working in the region.

Leighton Offshore was awarded a contract in Iraq to expand oil export facilities in the south of the country.

Foster Wheeler said its subsidiary Global Engineering and Construction Group has won a contract from Egypt-based Apache Khalda Corporation for the provision of project management consultancy (PMC) services.
