Boosted by growing sales of screw pumps in the Middle East, Leistritz Pumpen GmbH, the German manufacturer of screw pumps, has opened an office in the UAE, located in the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF-Zone)
The Middle East has made a significant contribution to Leistritz Pumps’ growth in recent years and will be a major focus of the company’s market development next year, according to the company.
“The opening of Leistritz Middle East is the first step into a new area for us,” says Thomas Talarczyk, director of Middle East sales at Leistritz Pumpen GmbH. “In the near future we will see progress in market development and customer service. Having a permanent presence, which will enable us to cover the whole GCC Region as well as Iraq and Iran (as soon sanctions allow), is the basis of our new ‘short way of communication’ in consulting, solution finding and support. Over the coming year we will increase our staff at Leistritz Middle East (LME) to provide further application capacity as well as services such as commissioning and repair to our customer base in the region.”
Headquartered in Nurenberg, Leistritz Pumpen GmbH has been developing, manufacturing and selling screw pumps for more than 90 years, for applications in industrial sectors including oil and gas, petrochemicals and chemicals, power systems and shipbuilding. It employs around 290 people and has a subsidiary in the USA, a sales office in Italy as well as service centres in Europe, Asia, the USA and Africa. Leistritz customers benefit from vast technical know-how and strict quality management, according to the company.
