Iraq has exported an average of 2.38mn bpd in November this year, up by 5.7 per cent a month earlier, Oil Ministry sources announced
Asim Jihad, Federal Oil Ministry spokesperson, said, “The average selling price last month was US$103 per barrel, generating US$7.3bn in revenues.”
Of the total daily exports, 2.28mn bpd were shipped from the southern oil port of Basra and the remaining from Kirkuk region in the north.
Iraq had said in September 2013 that it is set to boost its oil export capacity to four million bpd by the end of the Q1 2014, in a bid to grab a bigger share of the growing Asian market.
