International casing and completion technology business Deep Casing Tools has announced two new appointments and receipt of an order worth US$1.5million by a large Middle East national operator for 21 motorised reaming tools
Aqeel Al Faraj takes up the role of sales and operations manager, while Mahdi Al Shokan has been appointed as field engineer.
This expansion of the team follows on rapidly from the appointment of Neil Hathaway as the new Region Manager for the Middle East who is based in the UAE and is leading the Deep Casing Tools’ growth strategy in the region.
As sales and operations manager, Aqeel Al Faraj will be responsible for the overall management of the Sales and Operations Department of Deep Casing Tools Saudi Arabia. His role will involve operational, personnel and engineering support for a long-term contract Deep Casing Tools secured earlier in the year with a major national oil company in the Middle East to provide its drillable turbine technology to support their drilling operations.
Mahdi Al Faraj’s role as Field Engineer will include assisting in the initial planning phase, and thereafter, will be responsible for the deployment and job close-out of field operations. The role will include providing support across the full suite of tools deployed by Deep Casing Tools in Saudi Arabia.
Neil Hathaway, region manager at Deep Casing Tools, said, “This is a very exciting time for Deep Casing Tools. We have already seen the positive impact of increasing our presence in the Middle East with major contract wins and recently signed agreements with new distribution agents in the UAE and Oman.”
Deep Casing Tools provides a range of innovative tools designed to land casing and completions at target depth in oil and gas wells, providing significant cost and time efficiencies, as well as minimising risk.
