Anton Oilfield Services Group (Antonoil), an integrated oilfield services provider in China, has announced that it is going to provide oilfield workover and completion services for a client in Iraq
Antonoil has received a notification from its client, an international oil company customer operating oilfield projects in south Iraq, according to which Iraq’s Ministry of Oil has cleared the general contract awarded to Antonoil for the provision of oilfield workover and completion services.
The contract between Antonoil and its client is worth approximately US$140mn and covers workover and completion services for more than 160 wells and acidising service for more than 60 wells. Antonoil will supply the four workover rigs required for the operation. The project is expected to start in the first half of 2016 and will continue for three years, as per a pre-set schedule.
The company had obtained a letter of commitment for the project from its client in October 2014 and internal approval procedures between the two companies are still ongoing.
Antonoil provides products and services for the entire process of oil and gas development and production, including integrated-service, drilling technology, well completion, down-hole operations, oil production as well as tubular service. Its business is across 14 countries spread across the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa and United States of America.
