Wolverine protection from fire related hazards

US-based apparel maker Wolverine has announced the launch of FireZerO, a flame-resistant apparel line, that provides protection from heat and arc flash hazards

The company said that the collection will be available at retail early 2015 with prices ranging from US$70 to US$230.

The line includes eight new styles consisting of knit shirts, twill button down shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and pants. FireZerO is best suited for industrial workers, specially working in oil and gas industry, added the company.

Lisa Stoepker, product director for Wolverine, said, “With a full assortment including everything from jackets and twill shirts to jeans and cargo pants, FireZerO by Wolverine offers consumers a comprehensive flame resistant solution and makes Wolverine a key player in the flame resistant apparel market.

“FireZerO garments meet the most stringent standards in the industry today. All garments protect against possible intermittent flame and thermal exposures and are designed not to ignite or continue to burn, and to minimise the wearer’s burn injury when exposed to accidental, momentary ignition sources.”

Designed for comfort and protection, the metal on all garments is thermally protected from skin and craftsmanship ensures long-lasting durability, according to Wolverine.
