Saudi order for thermal insulation coating technology

Health & Safety
Saudi Environmental Projects Ltd has placed a large order with Industrial Nanotech, Inc, a company that develops and commercialises applications for nanotechnology.
The order is for more than 1,450 gallons of Nansulate thermal insulation and asset protection coating products, with a retail value of over US$131,500.The order is for more than 1,450 gallons of Nansulate thermal insulation and asset protection coating products, with a retail value of over US$131,500.

This follows Saudi Environmental Projects previously placed initial order in October of 2009 to introduce the coatings to the market and generate energy-saving projects. Saudi Environmental Projects, chaired by HRH Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, is Industrial Nanotech’s exclusive distributor for Saudi Arabia and recently attended the Saudi Oil, Gas & Petrochem exhibition held in Riyadh City in January.
There its representatives publicised Nanotech’s work in the area of thermal insulation and asset protection coating products and, specifically, Nansulate, a patented product line of specialty coatings containing a nanotechnology-based material.
These coatings, says the company, provide the combined performance qualities of thermal insulation, corrosion prevention, resistance to mould growth, fire resistance, chemical resistance and lead encapsulation in an environmentally safe, water-based, coating formulation.
The technology has obvious applications in the oil and gas industry (hence the company’s presence at the trade show), although the product line also includes industrial, residential, agricultural and solar thermal insulation coatings.
