STX Heavy Industries, South Korea’s shipbuilding company, has won a US$99.5mn order from Petronas Carigali Iraq Holding BV to build a gas treatment plant in eastern region of Iraq
The plant will be situated at the Garraf field located in Thi Qar province, 85km north of Nasiriya, and is expected to be completed by November 2015, according to Yonhap News Agency.
Earlier in the month, the company had also won a US$449mn order to build a 550km gas pipeline by 2017 from the Akkas gas field in northwestern Iraq, from KOGAS.
