RasGas delivers first LNG Cargo to KOGAS

RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) has successfully delivered the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) cargo to Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) as part of a new LNG purchase agreement.

Sale and Purchase Agreement

The new long-term LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) between Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company Limited (3) (RL3) and KOGAS was signed in February of this year in Doha and is the third long-term SPA between the two companies. Under the terms of this SPA, RL 3 will deliver 2 million tonnes of LNG per annum to KOGAS for 20-years.

Safe and reliable production

Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi, RasGas Managing Director said: "The delivery of this first cargo under the recently executed long-term LNG SPA with KOGAS is both a momentous occasion. RasGas is committed to the safe and reliable production and delivery of LNG to our customers world-wide."
