Egypt’s Petrojet has been awarded a US$185mn contract to construct the first gas-processing plant at Iraq’s Siba oilfield
The oilfield is being operated by Kuwait Energy, stated Petrojet officials. The company is expected to handle the enginering, procurement and construction activities on the gas-processing plant.
The project is expected to aid Siba oilfield’s production reach 3.1mn cu/m a day, within one-and-a-half years.
According to Petrojet, the project also supports the company’s plan to enter the Kuwaiti market, following a successful presence in the Iraqi market.
