Indian multi-national Larsen & Toubro (L&T), through its subsidiary Larsen & Toubro Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited (LTHE), said it has won a mega order from Sonatrach-Algeria
The engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) order is for the establishment of three central processing (CPF) facilities in Algeria’s Adrar province.
The fields involved in the deal are Hassi Ba Hamou, Reg Mouaded Field, Hassi Tidjerane Field and Tinerkouk Field.
Process facilities include separation, compression system, mercury removal, gas dehydration, hydrocarbon dew point control and related offsite and utilities.
The project maximises modularisation, which reduces site construction works and achieves standardisation across the fields. All modules will be fabricated in house at Larsen & Toubro’s manufacturing facilities, the company noted.
The contract was awarded on a lump sum turn key (LSTK) basis through international competitive bidding.
The company stated that bagging the order from Sonatrach reflects the confidence of oil and gas majors in their ability to carry out mega-projects for the oil and gas processing industry globally.
Organised under offshore, onshore, construction, modular fabrication and engineering services verticals, LTHE delivers ‘design to build’ engineering and construction solutions across the hydrocarbon spectrum, it added.
