The Dow Chemical Company is presenting its range of solutions designed to reduce the capital and operating expenses of the gas processing industry’s assets at the Sour Oil and Gas Advanced Technology (SOGAT) exhibition held in Abu Dhabi this week from 23-27 March 2014
Dow Oil, Gas and Mining, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, is showcasing its Amine Management Program, a comprehensive gas sweetening service program tailored to each customer’s specifications and which optimises its total system costs.
Additionally Dow is highlighting its own solvent purification system, Ucarsep Heat Stable Salt Remediation Process, which is a solvent purification system that the company claims removes contaminants from the amine system while it is still running, which avoids the cost of shutdown time.
Dow Oil, Gas and Mining commercial director Adriano Gentilucci said, “SOGAT is an important industry platform to share local insight and collaborate to address the industry’s most pressing issues.”
He added, “We also value the opportunity at SOGAT to showcase our core gas treating technical and application expertise and full range of products and services, that offers the industry the technology options to maximise efficiency while minimizing costs.”
Dow Oil, Gas and Mining’s senior technical service manager Jan Lambrichts will also be presenting a technical paper entitled ‘designing for low partial pressure acid gas removal’ during the exhibition.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, SOGAT comes at an interesting time for the gas industry with an increasing demand for power meaning there is growing push for gas exploration in the Middle East and beyond.
According to the exhibition, in the Middle East alone more than US$70bn of gas production contracts are to be awarded over the following five years.
