Dolphin Energy has increased the amount of gas it delivered to the UAE and Oman last year compared to 2010, according to its 2011 sustainability report
According to the report, Dolphin Energy delivered 812,000 billion BTU of gas to its customers in the UAE and Oman, against 790,853 billion BTU of gas in 2010. The company also highlighted that it has achieved a cumulative production milestone of three trillion standard cubic feet of natural gas since production began in 2007.
Dolphin Energy reduced flaring and greenhouse gas emissions by 26 per cent and 4.7 per cent respectively, with flaring accounting for 10 per cent of the firm's GHG emissions, claimed the report.
The company has been involved in the production and processing of two billion standard cubic feet of gas a day (bscf) from Qatar's North Field and the transportation of dry gas via a 364km, 48 inch sub-sea export pipeline from Qatar to the UAE.
Dolphin Energy is owned 51 per cent by Mubadala Development Company, on behalf of the Government of Abu Dhabi, with 24.5 per cent owned each by Total of France and US-based Occidental Petroleum.
