Galfar Engineering and Contracting has received a US$16.98mn contract from BP Oman for civil works at the Khazzan tight gas project
The company said the contract has been awarded for initial civil works (Package-2), which includes the waste management area, sludge drying area, production well pads and associated infield roads, procurement and construction for the Khazzan project at a provisional contract value of US$16.98mn.
Galfar Engineering and Contracting said in a statement, “We expect reasonable income from this project.”
Meanwhile, BP Oman added that it plans to award more contracts for rigs and rig services, and other project-related services and facilities at the Khazzan project.
The explorer also recently awarded the central processing facility (CPF) contract to Petrofac and production facilities and export line to Jacobs Engineering Group.
