Exploration & Production

Saudi Aramco have awarded KBR a contract to provide project management services for its offshore programme

The US-based technology, engineering and construction firm announced yesterday it had agreed to maintain and increase crude oil production levels at Saudi Aramco’s existing and new offshore sites for the next six years.

As part of the deal, KBR’s Saudi joint venture company, KBR-AMCDE, will also develop a “centre of engineering excellence” for the purpose of training Saudi engineers.

KBR president and CEO, Stuart Bradie, said, “This is a significant milestone in our relationship with Saudi Aramco in the offshore arena and complements our existing work in the kingdom on the Jazan PMC and GES+ contracts.

“We look forward to helping Saudi Aramco achieve its goal to develop an in-kingdom centre of offshore engineering excellence and to maintain their production of oil and gas.”

KBR has worked with Saudi Aramco before, providing services for several projects including Jazan and Yanbu refineries and the Shaybah NGL programme.
