Fugro has announced that it has been awarded a hydrographic survey project in the region worth over US$80mn
Fugro, which did not disclose the location of the survey area or which company awarded the contract, said that the survey will commence in October 2013.
The company will utilise a combination of vessels and aircraft for the survey, which is expected to take 14 months to complete.
According to Fugro, the survey will be one of the largest commercial hydrographic survey projects to combine both airborne and vessel based techniques ever undertaken.
